Electric Eraser- XinBowen

The official instructions for the XinBowen Electric Eraser (Model NO.: WK-015-1) are printed directly on the back of the packaging. Based on the diagrams and standard operation for this model, here is the breakdown of how to set it up and use it:

1. Battery Installation

The device runs on 2 AAA batteries.

1. Open: Turn the silver battery cover at the bottom of the eraser counterclockwise to unlock and remove it.

2. Insert: Place 2 AAA batteries inside the compartment. Ensure you follow the polarity markings (+ and -) shown on the diagram: usually, both batteries point toward the tip, but check the internal spring for the negative (-) end.

3. Lock: Replace the cover and turn it clockwise until it clicks into place.

2. Replacing/Adjusting the Rubber

This model uses two different sizes of refills: 2.3mm (for fine details) and 5mm (standard).

1. Remove: Pull out the metal/plastic rubber clamp from the tip of the device.

2. Adjust: If the eraser is just worn down, pull the eraser nub out of the clamp so about 3mm is exposed.

3. Switching Sizes: * To use the 5mm refills, insert the thick eraser directly into the large metal clamp.

   • To use the 2.3mm refills, you must use the plastic holder/adapter included in the kit. Insert the thin eraser into the adapter, then slide the adapter into the metal clamp.

4. Insert: Press the clamp firmly back into the tip of the eraser.

3. Operation & Technique

• Power: Press and hold the side button to start the motor. The eraser spins at high speed, so you don’t need to apply much pressure.

• Technique: Use light, circular motions or short “taps” on the paper.

• Safety Tip: Avoid pressing too hard; let the rotation do the work. If you stall the motor, you are applying too much pressure, which can damage the paper or the device.

Maintenance Pro-Tip

If the eraser tip becomes rounded and you need a sharp edge for highlights, turn the eraser on and lightly touch it against a piece of scrap paper at an angle to “grind” it into a sharp point.
